...Apple Of My Eye. 

I recently had a very sweet lifestyle newborn session with brand new mom and dad (Sam & Frank) who were so warm and welcoming to me. Along with a photographer to capture some of little Sofia's new faces and movements in the world; family came to visit that day as well. It was wonderful to hear everyone in Sofia's life oohing and ahhing over all of the little adorable details of her. Newborn babies being passed from arms to arms are moments that families rejoice about and there are not many times more relaxing than a sleeping baby in your arms. I was able to really get to know this beautiful family and capture moments of them all falling in love with their newest addition. I absolutely fell in love too! Mom and dad let me swaddle Sofia which I take some pride in doing. I love a good swaddle with a happy baby snuggled up inside. Thank you Sam, Frank and Sofia. I hope that we will stay in touch and I will get to see your sweet pea as she grows!

I met Beth and Jared on a December day that was unseasonably warm. We spent some time in their beautiful home getting to know each other and hanging out with their sweet dog  (who happens to have the same name as my new puppy.) Then we moved to the center of town to explore some local history. Very rarely do I get to photograph clients so close to my own home and now I have a brand new go to place that I will be visiting again. Beth and Jared's images show the adoration that a husband has for his expecting wife. Jared was always looking at Beth and she was clearly smitten by this new baby that she hasn't even met yet. I was lucky to be able to spend this time with them. I wish them and their growing family many years of health and happiness.

This wonderful in home lifestyle session with The Sullivan family occurred right before the holidays. Spending time with this crew definitely made me feel welcomed and cozy. We spent the afternoon running around the backyard and getting to know each other. A shy toddler is sometimes my favorite to capture. Little eyes glancing up from the comfort and safety of mom or dad is the sweetest. When we went inside to warm up there was an awesome impromptu music session which helped get the kids to feel comfortable. It was really great. This was followed by a personal tour of the kids rooms including every single favorite stuffed animal. The Sullivan family adore each other and each image told a lovely story about their relationships with one another. A family is young only once. These are the stories I love to tell. Happy New Year Sullivans.

...Everything. Here is a peek at a wonderful recent family lifestyle session. When Melissa contacted me about photographing her family to celebrate the birth of their daughter; I couldn't wait to meet them. Melissa and I have been connecting via facebook for a while now about photography and I knew that we would "click" when we met. We scheduled our session on a beautiful fall day and I was honored to get a glimpse of their life together. Nursing, reading, hugging, playing, connecting...family is just magic.

...can capture the personalities of your family members so perfectly. Here is just a moment of my time with the Rourke family who are some of my favorite people to photograph. These girls are full of personality and beauty. I love this snapshot because it shows the oldest trying to maintain some order with the newest puppy addition (yes, that's a puppy), the youngest ready to find another adventure (preferably away from the rest of us) and the middle child who was ready for her close ups at every moment. Just Perfect :)
